Connecting a wallet

What connecting does, and what it does not.

Connecting proves you control an address and lets the treasury read its $BALL balance. That balance is the only input to your quota.

What actually happens#

  1. 1Your wallet signs a plain text message. This is a signature, not a transaction.
  2. 2The signature is verified against the address you claim.
  3. 3The $BALL balance of that address is read from a public RPC node.
  4. 4Your share is computed and your quota for the day is issued.

No transaction is submitted, no token approval is requested, and no fee is charged. If a connect flow ever asks you to approve a transfer, it is not us — close the tab.

Balance changes#

Quotas are set at settlement, from the balance at that moment. Buying more during the day raises tomorrow's quota, not today's. Selling does not claw back credits already issued, but it does lower the next one.

Chat history#

History is a holder feature, because history needs somewhere to live. Your chats are stored against your wallet address and are waiting for you the next time you connect — from any device, as long as it is the same wallet.

Guest chats are never written down. Close the tab and the conversation is gone — there is no account to attach it to and nothing to come back to.

Leaving guest mode#

Connecting a wallet mid-session swaps the 20-credit allowance for your holder quota and turns history on from that point forward. What you asked as a guest is not carried over.
